Day 1: Yangon Arrival (-)
Mingalaba! Welcome to Myanmar!
Welcomed by our local guide at the airport. After that, transfer to the hotel for check-in. Enjoy a short break at the hotel and then ready for a half-day Yangon sightseeing tour. From your hotel, your driver will take you through the Post Office, an iconic colonial building in the country. Pass through the beautiful street where you will have a glimspe at the fabulous architecture dating back to centuries ago. Your first stop is Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda – home to the 66 meters long reclining Buddha statue. Next, stroll through the Karaweik Hall – a giant golden barge at Kandawgyi Lake to take some photos at the most beautiful photo stop of the country.
To fulfill your city tour, let visit Shwedagon Pagoda to gain the truly magical moment of the most glistening pagoda in the country. Legend said that the pagoda is believed to be built 2500 years ago. Inside the main stupa enshrining important relics of the Buddha making it one of the most sacred pagodas in the world.
Day 2: Yangon – Bagan (B)
Be an early bird this morning to take a flight to Bagan – one of the most incredible archaeological sites in the world. We will not just take you across ancient temples but also give you an overview of Bagan’s history, culture, and local lifestyle. Start your trip with a visit to Shwezigon Pagoda – the most popular destination in Bagan. Here you will have a chance to learn about Buddhist teaching, 37 Nats of Burmese (natural spirits) and the typical architecture of the Burmese people. Leaving the pagoda, we head to Htilominlo Temple, a fabulous site noted with the beautiful and immensely strong design which helped the temple survive after many earthquakes.
In the afternoon, be enchanted when taking a horse cart ride to gain the true beauty of Bagan through the dusty paths where you can stop at any spots to take the photos. Highlight your afternoon sightseeing in Bagan on a boat trip along the Irrawaddy River to the Shwezigon Pagoda. Sit back, enjoy a glass of beer on the sundeck to enjoy the majestic sunset.
Day 3: Bagan – Mandalay – City Tour
Leave Bagan this morning to take a short flight to Mandalay – the golden royal capital of Burma. Make your first visit in Mandalay to Mahamuni Pagoda – one of the most sacred religious monuments in Myanmar enshrining a sacred Buddha image. Dating back to 1758, the Buddha image inside the pagoda is said to be the most highly reversed image in the country.
Next up, explore Shwenandaw Monastery to marvel at the superb example of a traditional wooden building of Burma in the 19th century. It was constructed in the 19th century by a China jade merchant, now displaying many impressive wood carvings and a number of admirable works of art that worth exploring.
After lunch, highlight your city tour with a visit to Kuthodaw Pagoda – a complex of a gilded pagoda and 726 marble slabs inscribed with Buddhist teaching which has made the pagoda well-known as the world largest Buddhist book.
Then your guide also leads you to Mandalay Palace – the resident of the last Burmese royal. It was constructed with impressive design allow you to explore and save many beautiful photos.
Finally, fulfill your tour Mandalay with a drive up to Mandalay Hill – a natural watchtower to capture the panoramic view of the city.
Day 4: Mandalay – Mingun – Amarapura – Fly to Inle Lake
The morning of day 4 gives you a great chance to enjoy a scenic boat trip to Mingun – a charming riverside village where possessing enchanting religious sites. Make your first visit to Mingun Bell, the world’s second-largest bell. Next up, Take leisure walk to Hsinbyume temple (also know as Myatheindan Pagoda), a beautiful white-washed temple noted for its fabulous architecture built like the shape of Mt Meru.
Finally, fulfill your trip to Mingun by a visit to the unfinished Mingun Paya, known as the word’s largest unfinished Buddhist temple in the world. You will go back to Mandalay by boat.
In the afternoon, visit the 200-year-old U Bein Bridge which is the longest teak bridge in the world. Don’t miss your chance to marvel at the panorama of the bridge from a boat trip. Later, transfer to the airport to take a flight to Inle Lake.
Day 5: Inle Lake – Kakku (B)
Today, we take a day trip from Inle Lake to Kakku with a drive through Taunggyi to gaze out at the local lifestyle of the people. On arrival, to Kakku to admire the complex of over 2000 magnificent stupas. Following your lunch with a visit to Htan-Pha-Ya village and an exotic cave that is known for the same name. Spend time in the typical Pao village where you will have a chance to see their plantation before coming back to Taunggyi your hotel.
Day 6: Inle Lake – Heho – Afternoon Flight to Yangon (B)
This morning spend your time exploring the most famous site in Inle Lake. You will enjoy a boat trip to pass through the endless floating garden where your guide will introduce you to the exceptional farming methods of the locals. Then you will visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda – the most sacred pagoda in Southern Shan State. From here, head to Ngaphechaung Monastery, the largest wooden monastery in Inle Lake.
This afternoon, we take a flight back to Yangon
Day 7: Yangon – Departure (B)
This day is at leisure after breakfast at the hotel, enjoy your time until the driver comes to pick you up to the airport for a flight to your departure. Trip ends. We hope you have had a memorable trip to Myanmar!
