Full Itinerary
Day 1: Yangon Arrival –Half-day City Tour
Mingalaba! Welcome to Yangon! The city of glistening temples. Today welcome by Go Myanmar’s local guide at the airport and then transfer directly to the downtown city. You will take a half-day city tour for the very first taste of the fascinating city. Passing by numerous historical sites where feature exotic British architecture including the City Hall, Post Office, and High Court, you will make your first stop at Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda to observe one of the most sacred reclining Buddha images in the country. Leaving the pagoda, head to Kandawgyi Lake, the most scenic photo spot in the city. Spend your time to take some photos of the dramatic backdrop of Shwedagon Pagoda and Karaweik Hall.
Finally, fulfill your city tour at Shwedagon Pagoda. Located on the top of the hill, the pagoda can be seen in any corner of the city. Take your time to stroll around the pagoda to see the laid-back pace of life and people paying homage to the Buddha.
Day 2: Yangon – Fly to Heho – Kalaw (B)
Leave Yangon this morning to take a domestic flight to Heho. On arrival at Heho airport, our guide and driver will pick you up then we transfer to Kalaw (appr. 1 hour), a scenic former British colonial town. This place is a peaceful summer resort nestled in pine-clad mountains which is 1,400 meters above sea-level. Enjoy the fresh and cool air in the town. Today, you will have free time to wander around the street to the pace of life in the town.

Day 3: Kalaw – Heho – Fly to Mandalay – Amarapura – U Bein Bridge (B)
This morning depart to the airport to take a flight to Mandalay. On arrival, meet your local guide and ready for a honeymoon trip in Mandalay to unlock the treasure of the cultural city.
Start the day with a first visit to the second most sacred Buddhist pagoda in Myanmar next to the Shwedagon Pagoda: the Mahamuni Pagoda. Inside the pagoda enshrine a highly revered golden Buddha image that locals come to visit and pay the homage every day.
After that, visit local artisan’s workshops of gold leaf making, woodcarving and marble carving to explore the products in the region.
Next, transfer for a visit to Golden Palace Monastery which is famous for its intricate woodcarvings and wooden architecture. Continue to the Kuthodaw Pagoda, which is well-known as the world’s largest Buddhist book due to the Buddhist scripture carved on 729 marble slabs.
Before sunset, rejoice your day with a visit to the 200-year-old teak bridge: U Bein Bridge, the most photographic site in Myanmar.

Day 4: Mandalay – Fly to Bagan – Temples Visit (B)
Say goodbye to Mandalay this morning to take a short flight to Bagan. You will be picked up by our tour guide at the airport and then transferred to the Old Bagan to start your temple trip. First, explore the beauty and gold leaf Shwezigon Pagoda – the most popular attraction in Bagan and furthermore, learn about Burmese Buddhist traditions.
Highlight your afternoon sightseeing with a visit to Ananda Temple, one of the most charming and well-preserved pagodas in Bagan in which you will see a great mix of the Mon and North India style. En route, you will have a chance to stop along the way on the Bagan plains to capture some of the fascinating surrounding temples.
Then we will also visit a local lacquerware workshop and see how the skillful artisans create a beautiful lacquerware item using traditional methods.
In the late afternoon, drive to the jetty where you will embark on a boat trip on the Irrawaddy River. Sit under the shade or on the open-deck and you will have an open eye to the fabulous views as you cruise down the Irrawaddy River to Shwezigon Pagoda. If today is a sunny day, you will have a chance to behold the gorgeous sunset of Bagan reflect on the legend Irrawaddy River. Relax and enjoy the scenery.

Day 5: Bagan – Mt. Popa (B)
Wake up early in the sound of bird-singing this morning and enjoy the most highlight of your Burma trip. You will take a hot air balloon ride over the plain of Bagan to mingle in the incredible beauty of Bagan at the sunrise moment. With over 3000 temples and shrines stretching over 104 square kilometers, there is no better way to marvel at it fancy than taking a hot air balloon in the morning when the sun flickers its light into the sky. Get your camera ready to capture the best shot of the morning scene.
After finishing the balloon trip, enjoy a small party with champagne before taking a scenic drive to Mount Popa – one of the most important sites to Myanmar culture, religion, and history. You will spend time to hike up to 777 steps to reach Taung Kalat, a Buddhist monastery which is perched on the top of the pagoda. Inside the monastery is where you can learn about the 37 Nats of Burmese (natural spirits).
Then we transfer to Popa Mountain Resort and you will have a private dinner here.

Day 6: Bagan – Fly back to Yangon – Departure (B)
After breakfast, time to be leisure until transferring to the airport for your flight back to Yangon. Prepare yourself for your departure flight. Trip ends.
