Full Itinerary
Day 1: Yangon Arrival
Mingalabar! Welcome to Myanmar!
Today, our local guide and driver will welcome you at Yangon International Airport and transfer you to your hotel in the downtown city for check-in. This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner followed by a culture show at the Karaweik Royal Palace on Kandawgyi Lake.
Overnight in Yangon.
Day 2: Yangon Sightseeing Tour
A full day to discover the enchanting Yangon. This morning, our driver and guide will pick you up at the hotel. Make your first visit of the day to the grand Shwedagon Pagoda – one of the world’s greatest Buddhist wonders. The large golden stupa, surrounded by shrines, and pavilions, is the most sacred Buddhist pagoda in Myanmar.
After that, soak into the authentic Bogyoke Aung San Market where has 2,000 sprawling shops selling clothes, gemstones, Myanmar traditional arts & crafts, and beautiful souvenirs.
We then head for a visit to Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda – home to the 66 meters long reclining Buddha image. From here proceed to the Botahtaung Pagoda – one of the most significant temple-type pagodas in Yangon where is said to enshrine a sacred hair relic of the Buddha.
Finally, walk around the tunning Kandawgyi Park and take photos of Karaweik Hall with a scenic view of Shwedagon Pagoda behind.
Day 3: Yangon – Bagan – Temple Tour
Leave Yangon this morning to take a domestic flight to Bagan – the magnificent temple town of Myanmar. On arrival at Nyaung U, Bagan, start your journey with a visit to the colorful Nyaung U local market where villagers gather every day to buy and sell their products and other goods. Listen to your guide to learn about the daily lives of the people.
After that, continue to the golden stupa of Shwezigon Pagoda – a sacred religious site where you will get an introduction to Bagan’s rich history. Next up, visit Wetkyi-In Gubyaukgyi Temple with its exquisite Jataka mural paintings and the elegant Htilominlo Temple noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations.
After lunch, enjoy a short rest at your hotel. Then following your afternoon sightseeing with a visit to the Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece and one of the most beautiful temples in Bagan. Ananda Temple contains two unique Buddha images whose expressions change depending on the distance from which the images are viewed.
Then, we visit Thatbyinnyu Temple, the highest temple in Bagan and the massive Dhammayangyi Temple – a remarkable brickwork construction. Finally, experience an unforgettable sunset over NyaungLat Phet Hill before returning to the hotel.
Day 4: Bagan – Mount Popa
After breakfast, take a one hour drive from Bagan to Mount Popa – a spectacular extinct volcano with a sacred monastery situated on the top. You will the stairs to the top takes about 45 minutes where we will visit the Mahagiri Shrine dedicated to the “Nats” (spirits) in Taung Kaplap Monastery. Don’t pass up this chance to marvel at the panoramic view from the top is stunning!
We can arrange a special romantic candlelight dinner (optional).
Day 5: Bagan – Yandabo (Cruise)
NOTE: Boats leave Bagan only on Sundays.
This morning, the embarkation time for us is 6:00 am at the Irrawaddy Princess Jetty. The boat will depart at 6:30 am and sail upstream to Yandabo Village. This riverside village is famous for pottery making from riverbanks terracotta clay. Take a short excursion to the village to see the pottery-making process at various stages.
After that, continue sailing upstream and moor near Shwe Pauk Pin Village for today’s overnight stay.

Day 6: Yandabo Village – Mandalay (Cruise)
After breakfast, we continue sailing upstream to Mandalay. Enjoy the fabulous view from your cruise ship.
Day 7: Mandalay City Tour & Marionettes Show
After breakfast at the hotel, start the day with a visit to Mahamuni Pagoda – an important religious site in Myanmar enshrining one of the most highly venerated Buddha image in Myanmar.
After lunch, continue your sightseeing tour at Kuthodaw Pagoda, well known as the world’s “biggest book”. Then we also visit Golden Monastery, famous for its wood carving, silk weaving, and the Kyauk Taw Gyi Pagoda with its gigantic image of Buddha sculpted from a single marble boulder.
End of the day, enjoy a fabulous view of Mandalay city from Mandalay Hill and then transfer to the marionettes show. After the show, back to the hotel and overnight.
Day 8: Mandalay – Mingun – Fly to Heho
After breakfast at the hotel, we drive to the Mandalay jetty to embark on the boat trip to Mingun – an enchanting village on the bank of Irrawaddy River. Upon arrival, visit Pondaw Paya (a five-meter high structure), Settawya Paya (the valued shrine with a footprint of the Buddha), and Mingun Pahtotawgyi, a massive incomplete stupa built by King Bodaw Paya end was left to nature for centuries. We will also visit Mingun Bell (the world’s second-largest ringing bell weighing 90 tonnes). From here proceed to Hsinbyume Paya (a representation of the Sulamani Paya which stands atop Mt. Meru). After that return to Mandalay and transfer to the airport to fly to Heho – the gateway to Inle Lake.
Day 9: Inle Lake Boat Trip – Indein Village
Today is a full day to sightseeing around the most beautiful natural lake of Myanmar. After breakfast at the hotel, get on a boat trip and sail through endless floating islands where your guide will tell you more about the unique farming methods of the locals.
Then visit Heya Ywama Village, Phaung Daw Oo Phaya – the most sacred pagoda in Southern Shan State. You will also see the unique leg-rowers with their traditional style of fishing on your boat trip.
We will also visit a local small cottage where people make silversmith, as well as the “long-necked” women. From here, continue to the south of the lake to reach the ruins of Indein which is partly covered by vegetation and looks like a “pagoda forest”. Spend your time to walk for about an hour to enjoy a fantastic view of the temple over the lake and visit a school in Tha Ley village.
Day 10: Nyaung Shwe Biking Tour
Today is an amazing day for you to take a biking tour around Nyaung Shwe to capture the scenery of the village and see the life of the people. We start at the Nyaung Shwe market and cycle to Shwe Yan Pyay Monastery.
After lunch, we will bike to the eastern part of the lake to explore more villages and the winery for a wine taste session.
Day 11: Heho – Thandwe – Ngapali Beach
After breakfast, say goodbye to Inle Lake and we transfer you to the airport to fly to Thandwe. On arrival at Thandwe Airport, we proceed to Ngapali Beach where you can relax by the sea.
Day 12: Relax by the Beach
Relax all day by the beach.
Day 13: Relax by the Beach
Another day to relax by the beach.
Day 14: Thandwe – Yangon – Departure
After breakfast, we transfer to the airport to fly to Yangon and join your departure flight from Myanmar.
